and myocardial infarction (MI) separately. We evaluated the effects ET on functional and molecular left ventricular (LV) parameters as well as on autonomic function and mortality in diabetics after MI.

Methods and Results: Male Wistar rats were divided into control (C), sedentary-diabetic infarcted (SDI), and trained-diabetic infarcted (TDI) groups. We present a web of evidence supporting this hypothesis. Regarding zinc, we have shown that patients with AD are zinc deficient when compared with age-matched controls. Zinc has critical functions in the brain, and lack of zinc can cause neuronal death. A nonblinded study about 20 years ago showed considerable improvement in AD with zinc therapy, and a mouse AD model study also showed significant cognitive benefit from zinc supplementation. In a small blinded study we carried out, post hoc analysis revealed that 6 months of zinc therapy resulted in significant benefit relative to placebo controls in two cognitive measuring systems. The primary stabilities of implants in the 4-month and 6-month loading groups were 61.96 +/- 12.84 and 56.06 +/- 15.55 (P = .120), and the secondary stabilities were 71.85 +/- 6.80 and 66.51 +/- 11.28 (P = .026), respectively. The secondary stability of the 4-month group was significantly higher than that of the 6-month group. There was no statistical difference (P > .05) between the 4-month and 6-month loading groups regarding the implantation type (submerged or nonsubmerged), sinus membrane perforation, type of prosthesis, or opposed tooth type. In the 4-month and 6-month groups, all of the implants survived until the final recall time.

Conclusions. For the cases in which the residual bone was >3 mm and primary implant stability could be obtained, we conclude that loading is possible 4 months after the sinus bone graft and simultaneous implant placement.
